I’m a first-generation Korean immigrant copywriter, (now recreational) soccer player, and lover of K-pop. I am happy and willing to send you my top 5 live performances.

Even though I’m a Manchester United fan (#GGMU), I forsook (?) the sacred ties of rivalry for a short time in the name of sports equality. While studying in England, I had the incredible opportunity to be part of the Manchester City Girls Empowerment movement. I learned a lot about what it means to level the playing ground—and it has made me the writer I am today.

Upon meeting me, people often ask, “Is that an accent?” or “Why do you talk like that?”. The short answer: I actually grew up in the boring suburbs of St. Louis, but I tend to take on the speech tendencies around me. Having lived in England, South Korea, and around the States, I’ve created a monster of an accent.
